The Faculty of Agronomy was founded in 1964. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 8, 2018 \u201cOn measures to radically improve the system of training higher education personnel at the Tashkent State Agrarian University\u201d No. PQ-3704, the name was changed to the Faculty of Agrobiology.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The faculty has 4 departments: \u201cCrop production, soybeans and oilseeds\u201d, \u201cAgriculture and forestry\u201d, \u201cCrop selection, seed production and cultivation of medicinal plants\u201d., \u201cHumanities\u201d. Currently, the faculty is studying Agronomy (by types of agricultural products), Forestry, Selection and breeding of agricultural crops (by type of crop), Technology of cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, Ecology and environment. Students are trained in areas of environmental protection. (by industry and sector), vocational education (agronomy), landscape horticulture and landscaping. More than 600 students and highly qualified professors and teachers study at the faculty.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

— academic achievements:<\/strong> The faculty has a well-organized work to provide knowledge to students, and teaching is conducted by highly potential professors and teachers based on integration with scientific production. Students of the faculties of accounting and auditing, agribusiness and investment activities, accounting in the agro-industrial complex improve their knowledge and skills in foreign countries;<\/p>\n

— achievements in scientific work: <\/strong>During 2023-2024, professors of the faculty defended 18 dissertations, published 11 articles in the indexed databases Scopus, Web of Science, 48 articles in foreign journals with a high information factor;<\/p>\n

— foreign cooperation:<\/strong> Sh. Yusupov, associate professor of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Avezov of the Republic of Kazakhstan, works at the department, and in collaboration with scientists from Akdeniz University of Turkey, scientific research is carried out on growing cotton based on innovative technologies;<\/p>\n
