Andijan Institute of Agroculrure and Agrotechnology Involvement of Women in the Activities of the United Union Committee and Socio-Economic Rights and Interests of International Employees

The institute was established to safeguard the socio-economic rights and interests of professors and staff, irrespective of gender, religious beliefs, racial background, nationality, and national affiliation. The IBKUQ protects employees’ interests in areas such as working conditions, wages, lifestyle, culture, and similar aspects.
The legal status of IBKUQ is determined by the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the labor code, and the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “on guarantees of Trade Unions, their rights, and activities.” Any interference that restricts IBKUQ’s rights or prevents the exercise of those rights is prohibited. Key areas of activity include employment of professors and staff, preventing unemployment, providing social services to teaching and working staff, and addressing health-related concerns of staff and their families.
The following activities were carried out by IBKUQ during the 12 months of 2022:
1) The institute collaborated with the youth department and the department of spirituality and enlightenment to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th, National Navruz holiday on March 21st, Memory and Gratitude Day on May 9th, allocating 63 million som for sports competitions. An amount of 200,000 som was allocated and utilized according to the plan.
2) Eight members of the Institute’s staff, professors, and workers, Botirov Ortigali, Sattarov Khusanboy, Norqozieva Tajikhan, Djalilova Zulaykho, Tursunov Bakhodirjon, Matyaqubov Olimjon, Khojiboyev Mukhiddin, and Baratova Moxidil, were hired for recuperation at the Zomin, Botany, White Stone, Chimyon, and Chortok sanatoriums. A sum of 13,600,000 som was spent on these arrangements.
3) IBKUQ provided material assistance amounting to 4,125,000 som to 25 workers and technicians.
4) Fifteen low-income families employed at the institute were informed about the allocation of 4,400,000 som to them
5) Sports competitions, including football, volleyball, and table tennis, were held at the Institute, along with football competitions involving regional organizations and enterprises. A total of 4,800,000 som was spent on prizes, as our institute secured first place.
6) In a bid to promote domestic tourism in the Republic, 260 professors, teachers, and working technicians (laborers, vendors, gardeners, security personnel) from the Institute traveled to the resorts of Khonabad city and Bogishamol in Andijan region, as well as the “Amir Olimkhan” Museum and resorts in Kokand, Fergona region. The trip cost IBKUQ a total of 24,400,000 som.
Additionally, a holiday was organized for the children of the institute’s working staff on the occasion of June 1, the International Children’s Day.
On February 17, 2022, the 540th birth anniversary of king and poet, Zahiddin Mukhammad Babur, and the 582nd birth anniversary of Sultan Mir Alisher Navoi were celebrated in the student dormitory of the Institute. Students residing in the dormitory were treated to a cultural and enlightening event with the participation of professors and teachers from the Department of Uzbek Language, Pedagogy, and Physical Culture.
By December 31 of this year, the Union had spent a total of 114,525,000 som.
